Hello..thanks for your guides…I have some issues regarding adding a custom picture or icon to a folder….i can do it for movies just adding a jpg with the same name of the movie…but for folders its not working just dropping a jpg inside the folder with the same name…and the correct dimensions you put on your guide…I am using a mac, i don’t know if this is an issue…
Your boot time, specifically between the first xbmc splash and second xmbc splash is noticeably slower than on mine … but your browsing of the main menu looks a lot smoother than mine. Your backdrops pop in a lot faster than mine do. I know, very scientific huh?
I boot very often though, mostly just put it to sleep and the wake it up.
Your article (http://www.devolfamily.com/repost-from-lifehacker-use-mysql-for-xbmc-library/) about XBMC Mysql use was a relief.
When I read the XBMC-team provided howto, I was also concerned about the grant command. Glad to see that sanity prevailed -somewhere-.

Adding 1GB of memory and adjusting the bios iGPU (video memory) to 512MB makes 1080p work smooth.

Forgot to include that I have your set up – 1600 / 2GB RAM

Scott,
I followed you great instructions, along with some others, on installing Live. Thanks for the write up.
Most everything seems to be rocking along great. I can’t get system audio to work (no biggie) and browsing the main menu seems a little pokey.
I am interested if things look right to you. Would you mind looking at a minute of my boot up and browsing?
